I’m so happy to welcome Janine Ling to the show.  She is the founder of kin+kind and started the company with her twin brother Thomas to provide natural and organic solutions to common pet problems. Their mission is to save the world, one itchy pet at a time.

We are just ITCHING to know what you have to say, so let’s get right into it.  Fleas and ticks are not only a nuisance, but they can also transmit deadly diseases to you and your dog.

Janine, we all know that there are plenty of anti- flea and tick treatments for pets on the market, but many contain so many harsh chemicals.  What are your thoughts on that?

There are collars, dips, sprays, shampoos, powders and topical solutions and I know that Americans spend millions of dollars on products every year and unwittingly we’re poisoning ourselves and our dogs.

Can you share with us why these products full of chemicals are so dangerous?

Why are Most Flea-Control Products Are Dangerous?

When you bathe your pet after a topical treatment, the chemical gets washed down the drain to wastewater treatment facilities where, it has been shown, nearly 100 percent of it makes it through the filtration process and gets dumped into our streams, rivers and oceans.

It’s a fact that Skin condition is an indicator of a dog’s overall health and an important factor in flea and tick control. Does that start with a healthy diet?

Why did you start the company?

What makes your products different from others on the market?  Even the natural ones?

What are the ingredients in your flea and tick products and why do they work?

What are some preventative measures that we can take to keep fleas and ticks at bay?

How do you decide which ingredients to use in your products?

In addition to the natural flea and tick prevention products, what else do you offer?

Are you currently working on any new products?

What is the kin+kind promise?

Janine, where can everyone find out more information about you and kin+kind?
