Welcome all dog lovers!  I am so honored to have today’s guest with us.

Denise Fleck is the Pet Safety Crusader™ having personally taught more than 20,000 humans to rescue Rover or help Fluffy feel better.  Her mission is to help YOU make a difference in the life of an animal through Pet First-Aid, Senior Pet Care and Disaster Preparedness trainings.  She has authored more than a dozen books on these topics, has been named "A Woman of Influence" by Pet Age Magazine, and is the honored President of the Board of Directors of the Grey Muzzle Organization.  Her current focus is teaching the next generation of animal caregivers.

Denise, why do you have such a soft spot for senior dogs?

So why should more people adopt older dogs?

Many of these animals become depressed and are overlooked in favor of younger, cuter dogs.  Why do many people overlook bringing home a senior dog?

Do you think that often times people don’t want the possibility of a painful loss that seems closer with an older dog?

Some pet parents fear that they won’t be able to develop a bond with a dog who’s older.  Thoughts?

Do you agree that the age of a dog isn’t a great indicator of how that particular dog will behave?

What kinds of people would do really well with a senior dog?

How would you go about finding the perfect senior dog?

Denise, where can everyone find out more information about you and the Grey Muzzle Organization?
