Feed Food, Not Feed!

Welcome to the show all dog lovers!  I am honored to have with me Dr. Laurie Coger who is an integrative and functional medicine veterinarian, dog owner, trainer and breeder.  Her mission is to guide owners down the natural dog care path, helping them to become educated and empowered advocates for their best friend’s health.  Dr. Coger is also the founder of the Healthy Dog Expo, which is the Northeast’s foremost natural dog health education event – and I wouldn’t miss it!

Why don’t we start by having you tell us the difference between food and feed

Why are so many dog owners confused about what to feed their dogs?

What does nutrient integrity mean to you?

In your opinion, why is feeding fresh food so important?

What is Check Your Pet Food and how did it come to be?

What is involved with testing food and what does your analysis test for?

And you also do diet evaluation?  What’s involved with that?

Do you work mostly with consumers or manufacturers?

What is the future of dog food?  Are we heading in the right direction?

What is the Healthy Dog Expo and why should listeners attend?

What makes this event different than any others?

Speakers?

What is the one thing that you’d like to leave us with concerning our dogs, their health and how best to feed them?

The Wag Out Loud pawdcast is supported by listeners like you! I started the show as a passion project that would help all of us make well-informed decisions for our dogs’ health and well-being. After many amazing guests, intriguing topics and incredible feedback, I realized the WOL pawdcast is exactly what I wanted to do. I am mission-driven and work hard to produce the best possible show I can, and I trust that if you find value in my work and have the means, you will choose to contribute. It would not be possible to consistently produce a quality show without the listener support that I receive. Thanks to all of the dog lovers out there!
